The 10 Best Pest Control Services in San Francisco (2026)
Our ranking of San Francisco pest control options is based on Google reviews using a Bayesian-style score — essentially the average rating weighted by the number of reviews — and updated for 2026. We pulled public Google ratings and review counts to surface companies that combine high scores with substantial feedback. In a city of older buildings, dense housing and active rental markets, timely pest service can make a big difference, whether you’re dealing with rodents, insects or preventative maintenance. This list is a practical starting point for residents and property managers scouting reputable local providers.
This ranking is computed from Google reviews (our method). Listings marked Partner are paid advertising spots: they sit alongside the ranking without changing its order.

Frequently asked questions
How should I choose a pest control company in San Francisco?
Look for companies with consistently high ratings and a substantial number of reviews to balance quality and reliability. Check that they list clear service categories, verify any required licenses or certifications, and ask about guarantees, treatment methods and timing before hiring.
When is the right time to call a pest control service?
Call as soon as you notice signs of infestation such as droppings, damage, live pests, or recurring sightings. Early intervention is usually more effective and can prevent small problems from becoming more costly or disruptive.
What should I check before hiring a company for an inspection or treatment?
Confirm the scope of work, what treatments will be used, estimated timeline, follow-up visits, and any prep you need to do at home. Also ask for written estimates and clear information on safety precautions for people and pets.
How was this ranking determined?
The list is built from public Google ratings and review counts using a Bayesian-style approach that weights average score by review volume, then updated for 2026. It prioritizes providers that combine high ratings with meaningful review counts rather than raw averages alone.
