The 9 Best Board Game Cafes in San Francisco (2026)
We ranked San Francisco’s board game cafes using Google review data and a Bayesian score that balances average rating with review volume, producing a list updated for 2026. San Francisco’s gaming scene overlaps coffee culture, neighborhood hangouts, and organized meetups, so options range from small storefronts to café-style spaces. This list focuses on venues that show strong online support rather than promotional hype: higher ratings and substantial review counts move a business up the list. Whether you’re a regular player, a visitor hunting for a casual game night, or someone scouting a venue for a meetup, these picks reflect what local reviewers are valuing right now.
This ranking is computed from Google reviews (our method). Listings marked Partner are paid advertising spots: they sit alongside the ranking without changing its order.
